Another Meltdown Leads to Old Firm Disaster

The home side were ahead their oldest rivals at half-time but a second-half capitulation let Danny Röhl’s team to pull level on points with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions. “The performance we had at times was really, really, really high. That is a fact. And I would not talk like that if it was untrue. But that’s why, regarding outcomes, I mentioned this is the same story. For that reason I believe we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: small things.”

“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. But now comes down to performing for 90 minutes. My message would not be the same. This is why I am a big believer we’re going to be able to fix this.”

Röhl’s Cautious Stance

The victorious boss was cautious about a title charge in spite of what appeared to be a huge result. “Step by step, so we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The belief in the group is excellent.”
