The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile backers as she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and relax," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has played in only three events recently and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that her participation brings the sport to new audiences, specifically among youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and has started a personal fashion and living brand.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
