Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

After the deaths, public figures expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "disappointing" and implied they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an adviser could have stepped in when the decision to comment on the death was made.
