FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
